WHAT ARE THE DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO APPLY FOR STUDENT VISA OF JAPAN FROM NEPAL?

Student Visa in Japan for Nepalese Students

A valid passport

To apply for student Visa of Japan, You will need a valid passport with at least six months of remaining validity and at least two blank visa pages.

Evidence of financial capacity

You will need to provide proof that you have sufficient financial resources to support your studies in Japan, such as bank statements or a letter of sponsorship.

Visa Application Form

You will need to fill out a visa application form, which can typically be obtained from the Japanese embassy or consulate in Nepal or downloaded from their website.

A medical certificate

You may be required to provide a medical certificate indicating that you are in good health and do not have any communicable diseases.

A Certificate of Eligibility (COE)

You will need to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the school or university in Japan that you will be attending. The COE is a necessary document for obtaining a student visa.

Other documents

Depending on your individual circumstances, you may also need to provide other documents, such as police clearance certificates, medical records, or biometric information.

Applicants for a student visa to Japan must meet the following qualification criteria:
  • Academic background: Minimum above +2 / intermediate to above
  • Age requirements:
    • +2 pass applicants: Up to 24 years
    • Bachelor pass applicants: Up to 28 years
    • Master pass applicants: Up to 32 years

Documents Certifying Applicant

  • Last academic character certificate and transcript
  • Photocopy of original citizenship certificate and its English translation
  • Original Passport
  • An Essay (purpose of study in Japan)
  • Recommendation letter from campus or working place to which the student belongs
  • Gap certificate if the student has a gap in academic history
  • Other documents may be required

Documents Certifying Sponsor

  • Bank Balance certificate with a Statement/Transactions
  • Annual income certificate
  • Tax clearance certificate
  • Relationship certificate to ensure the relationship between the student and his/her sponsor and family members (Relationship certificate photo must be within 3 months)
  • Sponsor letter
  • Birth Certificate with photo
  • Verification of business and income letter
  • Recommendation letter
  • Occupation letter if your sponsor is employed
  • Company registration certificate if your sponsor runs a company by him/her
  • Other supported documents to prove how the income is generated

All the documents should have an immediate issuing date within 2 or 3 weeks from the application date.
